It's raining outside and the clouds look like popcorn. Today is not a day to play outdoors. About the Author

Vikki R. Franklin is a Southern California native and proud African American mother of two adult sons and one grandson. A former preschool teacher, Vikki has over ten years of experience in the classroom and an additional 25 years in child development programs. With a master's degree in early childhood education and a bachelor's degree in business, Vikki has dedicated her life to working with young children.

Her storytelling journey began when she heard a child say the darndest thing, which sparked an interest in capturing the hilarity (and wisdom) of childhood through writing.
